How will you fit in the big picture?

Hershey is seeking a Manager, Social Strategy to help shape breakthrough creative and social-first thinking across a portfolio of iconic brands. Reporting to the Director, Creative Excellence & Agency Leadership, this role sits within Consumer Connections and serves as a strategic partner to brand teams, agencies, Insights, Media, Design, and Measurement & Intelligence.

You will transform business challenges, consumer understanding, and brand strategy into compelling social and creative opportunities that drive distinctive brand growth. This is an opportunity for a strategist who loves creativity and wants to help build exceptional work that connects with consumers and culture.

What will you do?

  • Become a trusted strategic partner for a focused portfolio of brands, developing deep expertise in consumers, culture, competitors, and category dynamics.
  • Identify the consumer, business, and brand tensions that unlock stronger social and creative opportunities.
  • Develop clear, inspiring, and actionable creative briefs that motivate teams to create breakthrough work.
  • Translate research, behavioral insights, and cultural trends into meaningful human truths and strategic recommendations.
  • Build strategic platforms, creative territories, and brand provocations that inspire ideas across social and integrated channels.
  • Partner directly with agency strategists, creatives, and brand marketers from briefing through execution.
  • Ensure creative work strengthens long-term brand meaning while remaining culturally relevant and engaging.
  • Bring clarity to complex challenges by simplifying information into a focused point of view and strategic direction.
  • Leverage campaign performance insights and market learnings to continuously improve future strategies and creative output.
  • Help elevate Hershey’s reputation for exceptional creative and social marketing.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in brand strategy, creative strategy, social strategy, agency planning, consumer marketing, or a related field. The Manager level at Hershey requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience developing strategic briefs, consumer insights, and creative recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders to bring ideas to market.
  • Strong understanding of social media, culture, consumer behavior, and integrated marketing.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, Psychology, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Salary Information

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $103,920 to $129,900 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
